On flight search, the charter request asks for:

1. Departure and arrival airports. You can start with a city, then pick the airport.
2. A departure date.
3. Passenger count and passport citizenships.
4. A preferred minimum aircraft class. The operator confirms whether a specific aircraft can perform the itinerary.

EmptyJet does not operate the aircraft. The certificated operator remains responsible for the aircraft, crew, and the charter agreement presented to you.

The following factors may affect the total charter price:

• Route and range. Longer sectors may need a larger jet or a fuel stop; short hops can use a lighter aircraft.
• Aircraft class and positioning. The jet may already be nearby, or it may need a ferry sector before your departure.
• Airports and ground services. Handling, slots, operating hours, and after-hours charges differ by field.
• Timing. Peak travel days, short notice, and tight arrival deadlines leave less room to optimize.

• Special requests. Pets, oversized bags, catering, and ground transport should be priced into the option you accept.

Category labels help you shortlist. They are commercial conventions, not a guarantee that every model in a class can fly every mission. Confirm the actual aircraft against passengers, bags, runway, and range.

• Light jets suit shorter regional hops and smaller groups. Cabins and holds are more compact; many light jets can use shorter runways than larger types.
• Midsize and super-midsize jets add cabin room, baggage space, and range for longer continental sectors.
• Heavy and long-range jets are built for larger cabins and long-distance missions. They can raise airport and operating costs and may not fit every small field.

Private charter often uses business aviation airports and FBOs closer to where you actually start and finish. The cheapest-looking option is not always the fastest once you count ground time.

When you choose fields, check:

• Distance from your real pickup and drop-off points, including traffic and parking.
• Runway length, pavement strength, and whether the proposed aircraft can operate there in the expected conditions.
• Operating hours, curfews, and slot or handling limits.
• For international trips: whether the airport can clear customs and immigration for your passengers on that date.

Look up fields in the airport encyclopedia and see how airport choice affects city access. If a preferred airport cannot accept the mission, a nearby suitable field is often the practical answer.

Private aircraft do not share one airline-style baggage allowance. Hold shape, loading door, passenger weight, and fuel needs decide what fits. Soft bags often pack better than rigid cases; skis, golf clubs, instruments, and strollers should be described by size before you lock an option.

Pets may be accepted in the cabin, subject to operator approval, aircraft suitability and applicable destination or transit requirements. Cabin approval is separate from destination import rules. Microchips, vaccines, health certificates, and approved entry points can all apply on international itineraries.

Crossing a border still means passports, visas or travel authorisations, and passenger details that match your documents. Not every airport can process every international arrival; some require advance notice or have limited customs operating hours.

After the operator confirms the aircraft, schedule, and price, depending on the payment methods shown for the confirmed booking, you can pay by card — including Google Pay or Apple Pay when supported — or with cryptocurrency.
